Groups of people working together to overcome the challenges of the jungle is the stuff of Hollywood survival films. But now Dubai’s tropical haven, The Green Planet, is to offer that very scenario as part of its new corporate team-building workshops.

The indoor bio-dome, which is home to more than 3,000 exotic animals and plants, has opened a new area that is dedicated to hosting MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) events.

The activities include The Green Planet team-building sessions. Groups are split into teams and sent into the tropical rainforest on scavenger hunts in which they solve puzzles related to sustainability and the environment. The sessions have a genuine wild side with animal interaction supervised by professional guides.

The Green Planet will also offer workshops focusing on environmental corporate social responsibility (CSR) – an area of increasing importance to the region’s small businesses and multinational corporations.

The Green Planet team-building sessions are tailor-made for groups of 20 – 500 people and last between two and three hours. The sessions include an awards ceremony and certificates for winning teams, with team photo opportunities available.

Another key area of corporate investment is CSR, with billions spent on social and environmental goals as a means of improving a company’s brand and attracting top talent.
