Schneider Electric has announced its participation in the inaugural LEAP conference, taking place at the prestigious Riyadh Front Expo Centre from February 1st to 3rd, 2022. The company will highlight the integral role that digital transformation and green technologies will play in achieving Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

During the event, Schneider Electric’s Executive Vice President of International Operations and Member of the Executive Committee, Luc Remont, will participate in an important panel discussion on how to achieve a sustainable future for all. The panel will highlight the importance of sustainability, driven by innovation and technology to achieve a better and greener future for all. This agenda is aligned with the Saudi Green Initiative – part of the Vision 2030 strategy – to tackle environmental challenges faced by not only the Kingdom, but the entire region as well.

Through the exchange of knowledge and technology know-how, Schneider Electric will engage with thought leaders and companies to explore how they can leverage digital transformation and green technologies to become more energy-efficient, productive, and most importantly, sustainable.

Sustainability is at the heart of the Vision 2030 with the Saudi Green Initiative aiming to reverse environmental degradation and climate change through an extensive reforestation project and a shift to the use of renewable energy resources. It also involves the planting of 10 billion trees in the country, restoring 40 million hectares of degraded land, generating 50% of electricity from renewables by 2030, and eliminating over 130 million tons of carbon emissions.
