Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau (RSB) has awarded ESCO accreditation to DOTS TECH SYSTEMS, a leading automation and smart city services provider in the UAE, to further implement Energy Retrofit projects and cut down carbon footprints in the city by 20-50%.

DOTS is set to complement the existing DEWA plans in order to generate energy savings of up Dh82 billion by 2030 after retrofitting more than 30,000 buildings in the Emirate. The projects implemented by DOTS will act as a solution to reduce energy consumption and costs, which commercial and residential building owners face in their infrastructure planning.

The energy management platform deployed by DOTS has a strong capability of managing the entire set of HVAC systems with appropriate optimized operating pattern. Additionally, the automation will guarantee that the equipment is running without any manual intervention. Advanced technology tools such as IoT, big data analytics and adaptive controls will be used to conduct detailed energy analysis in real time while standard globally accredited methodologies are used to measure and verify the results.

Dheeraj Singh, CEO of DOTS said: “Buildings are the major contributors for carbon foot print emission in Smart Cities and by implementing DOTs technology, we can cut down carbon foot prints by a major percentage. We are supporting UAE’s Vision 2021 which focuses on improving the quality of air, preserving water resources and increasing the contribution of clean energy. We also aim to launch further sustainable projects in the region to contribute towards a healthier lifestyle in the Emirates.”

Existing Control systems of the buildings will be retrofitted for better visibility on the equipment performance while enabling energy management.
