Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, announced that it has connected its district cooling services to One JBR Tower, at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), with a capacity of 1,522 Refrigeration Tons (RT).

The Tower comprises 46 floors overlooking the Arabian Gulf, 163 residential units comprising two, three and four bedroom apartments, as well as five-bedroom penthouses. This is the only residential project in the area with a private beachfront.

“One JBR is one of the major real estate projects in JBR. It is a unique architectural masterpiece, and we are happy to be a partner in its development by providing environmentally-friendly district cooling services,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

“The district cooling service for One JBR Tower and the penthouse units is connected from Empower’s permanent plant located in the JBR area, using the state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based innovative technologies,” noted Bin Shafar.

Bin Shafar stressed that all sectors, including Empower, are committed to implementing the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to involve all segments of the society in the transformation towards a green economy. This is based on energy conservation and preservation of natural resources, through the implementation of national strategies, including the UAE Centennial 2071, the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, the UAE Vision 2021, and the Dubai Plan 2021, which aims to establish Dubai as a smart and sustainable city, whose environmental elements are clean, healthy, and sustainable.
